The Antrim Glen Emergency Planning Committee (EPC)
Mandate
The EPC mandate is “To communicate to Antrim Glen residents information allowing them to prepare for emergencies.” The Planning Committee was formed shortly after the December 2013 ice storm that crippled most of this area and left some people out of their homes for four to five days.
Part of the committee’s plan is to identify residents who may require extra support during a community emergency, along with potential resources.
Committee Responsibilities
Ensure Antrim Glen residents are emergency ready
Communicate current emergency information to residents
Research and develop training programs to assist residents to be emergency ready
Provide access to local area emergency information
Submit monthly committee minutes and information to the board
Submit an Annual Report for the AGM
